|Roles and responsibilities||A direct care worker involved in assisting consumer’s during a day program in accordance with an established treatment plan. Program emphasizes community integration through daily recreational and work-site outings. |
-Ensure health, safety & welfare of consumers.
-Implement and adhere to established treatment plans
-Maintain all required certifications
-Required to report to alternate work locations, when necessary (e.g. Hospital, Dr.’s Office etc.)
-Must be able to transport residents in agency vehicles as needed
-Able to maintain student/consumer/family confidentiality
|Skill set||-Must have High School or equivalent degree|
-Must have 1- 3 years of experience in the field in a Hab Spec position.
-Must obtain First Aid, CPR, and SCIP certifications or Aptitude upon hire
-Maintains valid State Drivers’ License and auto insurance.
-Ability to run
-Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items
-Possess reliable transportation
-Demonstrates organizational, written and verbal skills.
-Maintains positive professional demeanor.
-AMAP Certification required.
