(Group Delta) is looking for an exceptional Staff Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist for our Irvine office.

Job Description:
• Ability to work on environmental and geotechnical projects
• Perform pre-field preparation for projects including; scheduling/contracting subcontractors, obtaining permits, creating traffic control plans, and conducting site safety meetings
• Develop work plans and health and safety plans
• Overseeing geophysical surveys and borehole clearing activities
• Conduct field work generally consisting of supervising drilling activities; logging test borings; collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and soil vapor samples; and well installations
• Support environmental and geotechnical assessment/remediation projects by providing field support, data management and interpretation, and technical assistance
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control of work product
• Assist in the preparation of geotechnical and environmental reports
• Assist in the preparation of proposals
• Interact with multi-office and multi-discipline teams within Group Delta
• Other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements • Bachelor degree in geology, environmental/civil engineering or related field; Masters preferred; PG or PE a strong plus
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Must have experience in field work. Will work approximately 50% to 75% field work
• Must have a strong safety attitude
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Ability to successfully complete 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training within a year of hire
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to travel long distances within California and occasionally working away from home
